Nipsey Hussle, The Marathon Continues, Rest In Peace

Nip Lives in Us.

2 Days after Nipsey's Passing

Preface : I wrote this during my first stay in Vietnam - a period in my life where I was in a heightened state of self-examination and review. Nipsey's death was a shock to everyone (and still is) but at the moment it took me into a very dark place, periodically.

April 2nd, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

Trying to rise above all the madness.

Seeking Clarity.

These past couple days have been pretty difficult, dealing with the sad loss of one of my greatest inspirations while trying to balance new business ventures and follow through with work.

Even in the darkness - God shines light to keep me focused on the things ahead.

Mindfulness is a practice that I encourage anyone to do daily - acknowledging the things that you're grateful for even when you may be in the midst of unhappiness.

I understand that I'm blessed to have the opportunity to move forward another day; simply because some people didn't wake up today to enjoy the simple things we take for granted.

I wish I could just hop in my 500, let the top back and cruise to the Isleys but that's gonna have to wait.

Back to the Grind.

Signed with love.

- Erik
